How to Start the TentMaker Project outside of Uganda

If you are not located in Uganda, we do not have a program which can currently serve you. However, the U.S. office of the TentMaker Project is willing to entertain requests to extend ministry into your country if you meet the requirements we are looking for and if God provides the means for us to grow in your area. Below is a sketch of the process for starting the TentMaker Project ministry in a new country:

  1. Contact the Director of the U.S. office, Wyatt George, with a proposal. Please include in that proposal the following elements: Information about the church you seek to partner with, it’s doctrine and government, and the quality and quantity of potential leadership for The TentMaker Project startup.
  2. The U.S. office will then evaluate your proposal based on
    1. their understanding of the faithfulness of your church or presbytery to the teachings of the Bible,
    2. the adequacy of your church government to provide the accountability necessary for the success of the micro-loan program
    3. your ability to develop a Regional Committee capable of overseeing ministry for your country, and
    4. an assessment of the U.S. office staff to determine if they have the ability to invest in a new area.
  3. If the U.S. office agrees to your proposal, they will contact you and ask you to proceed with forming a Regional Committee, they will also schedule a field visit for their staff to visit you and help you develop the project.
